Didn't make a difference. It is like the client does not want to talk to the world server. This is the uWoW client also. I made sure everything is in order and would be able to talk to one-another. I even looked at my Data Execution Prevention in my system advanced settings and cannot see what is going on. My firewalls on both machines are set to pass everything on my server/client. Tried a different network switch also. I see the server/client talking with the logon, bnet, and world server, but it cannot establish a link otherwise.

If you're still unable to connect, I'd suggest trying to run it locally, to at least rule out network issues. I'm certain you've done everything correctly on the server/client end of things, but if you haven't, it could narrow things down for you.

I will try, problem is: Windows 10 locks up if there i too much I/O activity, which is why I am trying to get it on a dedicated server. I am using SandyBridge Xeons with Windows 10 which causes my machine to lock up randomly. So I do not trust it.

It is the same on local-access as well. So it is either a download issue I had or there is something else going on in the system which I cannot see. I made sure all IPs were allocated to localhost before hand.

I think I know what is going on here with me. I am having a rapid-state bitrot on my filesystem as the gaming computer I am using has a faulty chipset (SandyBridge) and it does not play with windows 10 very well. I have had to check my games partition 3 times in a week already due to the NTFS bitrot. I am going to try this game on another one of my gamer machines. Bitrot is normally supposed to take ~100 years to do, but it is happening to me within a week or even 3 days after I fix the partition. So in other words: The games of mine are corrupting at an alarming rate. I thought I had it, there is an issue as I tried it on another machine to no avail, I am about to give up here.

Here is something interesting: I went to load of the Cataclysm repack, but now it will not even load, and my 3.3.5a repack from AC-Web is now having the same connection issue. I think there is a clashing of SQL libraries going on on my server. Is it possible to fix this without re-installing windows?

I have been able to get the server working! I was curious if anyone knows how I can add scripts to the server, or even if that is possible with this repack.

Just go ingame with any character on a gm account and type:
.achievement add achievement_id

achievement ids:
nightborne: 12244
void elf: 12242
highmountain tauren: 12245
lightforged draenei: 12243

then you will be able to create one.

Then your account is not on the required gm level.

Here is the description from the database for achievements:

name: achievement add
security: 4
help: Syntax: .achievement add $achievement
Add an achievement to the targeted player.
$achievement: can be either achievement id or achievement link

I am operational now, it WAS bit rotting as I downloaded a new server and release on a ReFS partition, and now it works just fine. Now, how do I create my own account? I read it needed FusionCMS.

I finally got things up and running. Mostly my own mistakes and lack of knowledge that slowed me down. /shrug
What I do find though, is that I have no control over how much ram the server sucks up. It seems as the server runs, it will eat up however much ram I have on my computer. 16GB ram on my computer, and 14GB is used by the server, the rest is used by my pc. That doesn't leave room for me to run the client. Is this because I used 64-bit vcredist installs? I figured I was supposed to because the openssl was 64-bit.
It also doesn't run the 32-bit client, only the 64-bit client. 32 drops an error, but 64 runs nice. Just a little hungrier with the ram.
Or, is there a limit you can set some place in some file? While I test for stability and the like, I'd like to play from the same pc I run the server.
Thanks,
Aescleal
