Did you see that imgur image? I also just found out it's the Drain Life spell that is causing it, when I used it it'd crash the server after 10 seconds. Also, I customized the names of the folders, not sure if that is the cause?

I saw the picture. I can't really help or give much information in this matter, as I'm not a repack developer, sorry.
I don't think renaming folders would change anything, but again, I can't really tell you for sure.

Especially if it is a bug with a spell, so that the developers can make sure the issue is fixed ASAP, unless it is already fixed in the current VIP version, but I've no idea. By posting there, hopefully one of the developers can tell you more.

Correction : That's normal, you didn't include the mmaps in the version 1.

You should be able to edit it within the database, using something like HeidiSQL.
Connect to it, go to the characters table, find the character name and type in whatever name you want.
The character has to exist first, since basically you'll be renaming it. However, I'm not sure if this would work. I don't think this would happen, but there might be some sort of limitation somewhere, causing names like that to crash the server.

Actually, it didn't work. Even after setting the row character name's property to "varchar(24)", I keep getting this auto rename when I log in. There must be a way to desactivate the auto-rename when a name isn't valid.

The case here is probably only resolveable by the devs in the source code I guess. I searched quite a few times for this without getting any solutions.

Also, the current VIP version is 6.2.

Check the worldserver.conf and the authserver.conf for it. I doubt it'd be there, but it's a possibility.
