New to Repacks.

Hello, I am new to this community and not super sure what im getting myself into lol. My goal is to be able to run my own 5.4.8 server, while being able to learn how to add my own custom items/vendors/quests and such. I eventually would like to bring a couple friends onto the server as well. Again, I know nothing about this stuff at the moment, I am writing this before i start doing research and teaching myself. If you have any tips or advice, i'd be happy to hear it! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the community and wow emulation, it's a very fun subject to get into. Repacks generally are more user friendly for new comers, so I would stick with that for awhile, especially if you don't plan to make a live server besides a few friends.

Thanks! Yeah, my IRL friend has been into it for a while and he always gets me onto new stuff he works on. I think it's time i start my own project haha. I just said "F it" and got the MoP premium for the Bots, haha.

Yeah I personally don't use the repacks, but I have heard good things about them! And the bot system is amazing for a small group of friends who want to run content but might have enough people


If you have any questions, don't be scared to ask! There's a lot to learn when you're new Also if you're on discord, I'd recommend possibly joining the discord server as well
