Jack Sparrow are you recomend only upgrade db version 1.6 to 1.7 (run SpellAreaUpdate file with Heidi) or exporting full auth / character tables from 1.6 to a fresh database version 1.7? Any other differenced between 1.6 and 1.7 (outside SpellAreaUpdate)? Are we need to run merged sql file too?

I ask because unfortunately, the server fails during startup in version 1.7. There was no such problem in version 1.6. Screenshot below.

Edit - problem was solved. Thanks

I must say that when I first heard about this repack I was a bit skeptical. I thought "just another MoP repack". But now, the more I test it, the more I fall in love of it. I notice all the hard work behind every little detail, and I appreciate you decided to share it for free.

Thank you!!

Thank you for your feedback! I'll try and fix your reports within a few days and release 1.8 :) brings motivation!

Some chance for a patch to allow the transfer of auth / character databases from version 1.6 to 1.7. Base 1.7 works ok on the new version of the server but with base 1.6 (even updated) there are problems I wrote about.

I've got this up and running, and personally am really happy to see a MOP repack. I skipped Cata when Blizz first released it, and rejoined for MOP.

I created several chars (Undead, Tauren, Orc, Troll, Goblin), OK so I prefer the Horde! Apart from the Goblin start area being unpopulated I progressed several levels with the other before running into quest issues.

I was wondering, could the quest fixes from ExO's cata repack not be imported directly into this repack to help gain stability? There's probably a good reason why not, but if possible surely this would save loads of time.

Anyway, please keep up the good work, great going on this.

Hello, I have a question.
What do I do with the SQL Upadates? Do I need to download a tool to import them or just put them in one of the Folders?

They are not directly compatible due to major differences in core's infrastructure. mostly phasing.

They are for updating from previous repack versions, on a fresh download you don't need to worry about them.

I'm really looking forward to testing this out and doing what I can to help with any bug reports I can. Ultimately, I believe in 'sandbox' servers, so I'll be setting one of those up and allowing anyone to do anything basically, so we can test limits and goof around but I know a few people that will try to play thru storyline. Thanks for all of the hard work, I love MoP era.
