I am a "newer" and not too active of a member here but I have been attempting to archive some of these WoW things (clients and EMUs) for "some time" now... Without getting too much into my whole life story here, suffice it to say that I have personally NEVER actually played WoW (retail, private, or other) in my life... I am mainly an archiver who loves to archive things (especially games and software) for posterity. Especially things like WoW, that "evolve" over time...!
Anyway, I have been in private communications with @Endafy who has expressed that he and/or the "community" as a whole would be interested in this client that I have in my archives, as it appears to have, for the most part, fallen off of the face of the earth! That client is the WoW (CATACLYSM) 4.3.4 enUS 22 GB Client (BUILD 15595)...
Now, again without getting into my whole life story, I currently have REALLY crappy internets. It would probably actually be easier for me to copy this to a USB drive and actually just physically snail mail it to somebody, but I completely understand that's also not likely because that would blow the recipients "anonymity" out the window! Nonetheless I am going to do my best to get it to @Endafy so that he can then share it with everyone else here!
If anyone out there has any ideas as to how I can get this out there (to @Endafy and the community as a whole) reliably, please do chime in! In an absolute worst case scenario "we'll" just have to wait until I have a "real" internet connection. Only "problem" with that is, that may be measured in YEARS rather than months or days...!
To be a little more specific about my "crappy" interwebs: My UP link is generally < 1 Mbit/s (it's usually actually closer to 0.25 - 0.5 Mbit/s); *AND* I am STUCK behind CGNAT... I also am in circumstances that do NOT allow me to keep my PC on 24/7... So... Yeah, uploading this will HAVE to be "pause-able", AND probably take like a month or TWO to actually get done!
