Hello this tutorial will fix the "your trial period has expired" error you get on teamviewer, if you follow the steps and do it correctly.
I will keep it as short as possible, to not make it look confusing.

In case you wonder why you get that error and others don't; It's because you have selected the default option ‘For Commercial Use’ BUT you should have selected ‘For Personal Use’

Anyways, I'm here to fix that up for you. Credits goes to google and myself.

Step 1:
You must reply before you can see the hidden data contained here.
-- And it's now working, if you have done everything correctly - Enjoy!

Didn't work for me. I am trying to use TeamViewer on a personal server with Microsoft 2012 R2 and using the Administrator account. Not sure if that makes a difference? Don't remember having the private use option on first install, and after doing what you said still comes up with "Trail version *expired* (Administrator)"

I feel for you. Find myself in the same boat. Suggested 'fix', fixes nothing.
Even went through the registry with a fine comb, but no.

My view on this is, that lots of so called 'fixes' are often being 'parroted' from a post someone has made somewhere, that just happened to work as a solution for THAT particular situation with all of its circumstances.
Those type of 'fixes' then very soon (unjustly) seem to acquire 'general fix' status and you come across them all over the place, often verbatim.

Besides, the companies of the products in question are not twiddling their thumbs either, so things tend to change.

It just remains a bummer.

My 2c.
