Sorry for the late reply but,
I do not believe this is possible without the core/source, or a lot of work into the core to allow this.
If something like this is possible without giving out the source, then it would probably be added in the far future, when the Cata repack is near 90%+ completion, when there aren't many major bugs/concerns left.
