It's good, but there could be a few tweaks to make it really pop (I was a web designer for 5 years):
- Align text to the left of the screen, don't have it centered. Also keep it a standard, web-safe colour that isn't so bright like the current orange. White or light grey would suffice, with orange for headers and links.
- The content section headers (Navigation, Improvement Patch A) look good, but the rest of the content is removed from the page unity. Consider trying to make the left side-menu more unified with the design of the navigation header. Also, there doesn't need to be a content header in the same style, it's already obvious that it's the body content.
- The font, font effects, and line height of the text in the main banner at the top of the site, are far too similar to the background. There's unity in style and colour, and then there's unity in style and colour. I recommend making the banner a different colour, maybe a slight blue hue to make it different to the rest of the page and pop out a little more, and then tone down the orange glow on the text as it should stand out more against the blue now than against the orange.
- Make the line height of the text standard or slightly more than standard, and drop the font size to compensate. If you want the font to be large, summarise the banner content more so it doesn't detract from the banner style, as it looks flooded.
