The avatar size limit seems a bit too small. I feel like the limit for non-vip users should be what the limit for VIP users currently have, which is 120x120.

VIP and up should get a much bigger limit on their avatar, like 200x200, which isn't even that big. Maybe 180x180, but preferably 200x200 pixels.

This probably wont effect community growth at all, but it could. Users may feel limited on the forums, that they can't really do anything unless they pay for VIP. While they can still do a lot, they do have some tight restrictions.
This includes signatures as well, but I won't get into that very much for now. I will say though, allowing a user to customize their profile, including their avatar picture and signature, allows them to feel more like they're at home, or they belong. They have something that describes them.

An example of all this is the game Club Penguin. You couldn't really do anything in the game unless you paid for their 'membership', which allowed you to play the remaining 80% of the game.

VIP members already get the VIP repack, which is already quite a lot because of the version gap to the public version.

This was mainly meant to be just a suggestion on larger avatar pictures, at least for VIP and up, since they did donate to help out the forums, along with the repack development. However I got a bit carried away, sorry about that :p

Naah, focus on the bigger things. This forum is for communicating, not for watching eachothers avatars :p

I don't watch other's avatars, I'm honestly just concerned about my own avatar picture. It's too small, plus my reasoning is true for more than just me, so I felt like it needed to be posted.
Having things like avatars, or signatures, etc, can allow a user to feel unique on the forums, which helps to keep people staying.

I have been testing around with it, and while I some what agree with the suggestion, it also has some consequences. Yeah it's nice to have a better sized avatar, however let me show you the issues.

This is with 200x200, and obviously (at least in my opinion) it is too much based on the width compared to the rest:

Activity with 200x200:

Perhaps 150x150, but would still need testing to see how that fits.
What's your opinions?

Well, with the activity, it already does that for me:

There might be a setting somewhere to remove avatar pictures from the activity page, since I doubt vBulletin would've added it knowing avatar pictures have that effect on it. Unless it's an addon?

Also, maybe not 200x200, what about 150x200?
If the width is 150, it shouldn't be too bad, and the height being increased shouldn't effect much at all, other than how the avatar picture looks.
I feel like the height in the first picture isn't that bad at all, the width definitely seems a bit much, but the height is pretty nice. However, if you don't like that, there's also the option of 150x180? From what I think it'd look like, I'd say 150x200 should look pretty nice.

That's not really solving the issue, that's more of submitting to a bug in vBulletin.
The best thing to do first, is figure out the bug and fix it, then worry about the avatar size.
The bug should honestly just be a setting somewhere, or could be solved with a simple googling of the problem.

You should never underestimate hackers. Simply by having this small error within the system *can* put out chances of exploiting simply cause the code is crashing on a few lines, However i am not to worried about this issue, It is being taken hand of by some quality guys :D they know their stuff so this will be fixed within the next changelog

Are you referring to vBulletin itself? Or ExO?
But it is a simple error I imagine, and I'm pretty sure I ran into it back when I had my vBulletin sites. I can't remember how I fixed it though. There might be an addon for it or something.

As for the guy fixing it, it would obviously be either ExO or Zafire, Not Vbulletin itself cause this is not an error which can appear at a stock install of vbulletin. This has to be something modifications etc

By the way, Congratulations on the 300 posts

I think it's an issue with the theme, probably.

Also, thanks, I didn't even realize I got 300 until you said something.
