The avatar size limit seems a bit too small. I feel like the limit for non-vip users should be what the limit for VIP users currently have, which is 120x120.
VIP and up should get a much bigger limit on their avatar, like 200x200, which isn't even that big. Maybe 180x180, but preferably 200x200 pixels.
This probably wont effect community growth at all, but it could. Users may feel limited on the forums, that they can't really do anything unless they pay for VIP. While they can still do a lot, they do have some tight restrictions.
This includes signatures as well, but I won't get into that very much for now. I will say though, allowing a user to customize their profile, including their avatar picture and signature, allows them to feel more like they're at home, or they belong. They have something that describes them.
An example of all this is the game Club Penguin. You couldn't really do anything in the game unless you paid for their 'membership', which allowed you to play the remaining 80% of the game.
VIP members already get the VIP repack, which is already quite a lot because of the version gap to the public version.
This was mainly meant to be just a suggestion on larger avatar pictures, at least for VIP and up, since they did donate to help out the forums, along with the repack development. However I got a bit carried away, sorry about that
