So lately on my browsing through Ac-web, I noticed that the forum is kind out of control. No mods, no delivering of VIP/Donation rank after donating, no removal of spams, no approvements of topics for new members, decreasing posts and veterans at the forum.

Am I the only one to think so? Seems to me like ac-web is not the reliable forum it once was, so I might quit it. What are your experiences with ac-web, do you agree with me or am I just completely out of my mind right now? :hmm:

I have been following that forum for a few months and it seems okay to me. I never heard of this website until someone posted a link to here for a better MoP server.

Some holywar between old members on that forum deter users and slowing progression, imho. (Darling vs rem999)

Yeah, they hate each other. Can't even learn some english instead of google translator. Also, Darking stealing commits.

Yeah, the days of ac-web and ArcEmu repack funservers are LONG gone. People've moved on, including Jargs.

Feels like whole wow emulator stuff is slowing down. Before people pumped out repacks scripts and other useful stuff right now it seems like it's in a dry state. Think all emulator sites kinda slow going atm.

I really enjoyed ArcEmu fun servers. But even I realized its time to move on. Was looking at TrinityCore and found this place as a 'better alternative' from what I've seen.

I came from ACweb: it used to be a pretty alive community long ago...but times changed

There are a lot of projects there, but sadly 70% of them were created with stolen content from others, very incomplete features and a total lack of continuity (which tend to die pretty soon)

However, in that 30% there are some awesome repacks and teams (their main acweb core repack,Stygian core , Azeroth core solo-eluna and some of the spp repacks)...the real problem there is the lack of control/rules over the community

As for the repacks: the vast majority of them are for 3.3.5 client (and they are pretty much complete and 99% functional); there are not many updated/working packs for patch 4.x, 5.x or 6.x there, but its one of the few places to find 7.x and 8.x working and active projets...there is hope, but some changes must be made

I've only recently gotten back into WoW Emulation and AC-Web was one of the few places I could find repacks, though I'm glad I found a link to this site on one of their forum posts, seems like a much better 4.3.4 and 5.x active community here.

This is why I joined here. I love the original trilogy but I love the gameplay of cata and mop.

I miss the days of Jeuties repack being the go to wrath pack and the community all being focused in on ac-web because of it! I'm a bit of an Ac-web refugee now looking for a new home (and sick to death of 3.3.5a content!)

I use to be over there a lot back in the day, actually did some repacks, a few servers, and scripts myself. Came back because the wife wanted to try out WoW so thought id download a server. Saw the drama and didnt know what was goign on. Now Im here and sadly waiting 5 days so I can download the new 7.3.5 pack that was released. FeelsBadMan . So far this does seem like an awesome community besides the wait.
