I've been posting around for a bit, and I kind of came out of nowhere, so I decided to make an introduction! (Totally not doing this for the award)
I saw this site, really loved the repack, and decided to stay. I'm usually trying to help people fix their problems with the repack, and that's because I like helping people, plus I know how frustrating it can be for something to go wrong with a repack. I've gone through several bugs and errors back when a 3.5.5 repack was basically the only working repack available (credits to Jeutie for that), and I've nearly pulled my hair out so many times, it's probably why I decided to shave it.
So that's why I help people, but I figure this introduction ought to be more about me personally, not "iroflu".
Which, also, I'd like to explain my name, as everyone likes to say "iroh - flu" when pronouncing it, or spelling "ironflu".
I was a little young-ish when I made the name a while back, and I couldn't think of a name, and I'm not really sure how I cam up with it.
Back when I made the name, people still used the term 'rofl' meaning "rolling on floor laughing", and for some unknown reason, I put that in my name. (Note, I actually did consider Ilolu, but you can see why I didn't)
Keep in mind, I was yound when I did this.
The name is pronounced "I rofl you"
Now, as I said earlier, about me personally.
I'd prefer not to give out my real name, however, I will give my age. I am currently 19 years old, soon to be 20.
I am currently enrolled in college. Last academic year was my first year of college, and I'm currently taking a summer semester to be ahead on credits. I am going through college for a Computer Science degree, and so far, I'm loving every bit of it.
Right now, I'm only the introductory classes, along with an online HTML/Web development class, so I don't know too much, yet.
Currently, I'm learning Java, as that is the 2 introductory classes, and apparently after my class is over, I'll know about 75-85% of the Java language, so I hope to do some sort of software development with Java in the near future.
Soon I'll be learning things like Databases, I think "Data systems" but I'm not sure on that (I can't remember the layout of classes), and C++, etc.
Maybe I'll eventually be able to help development on this repack! Which personally, I'd absolutely love to do, but I just don't have the knowledge for it right now.
So I guess that's about it, I'm not sure what else to tell. Honestly, that is the most honest I've been about myself on the internet. Back when I was 13 (I remember being this age specifically), I was offered a staff position on a very-popular game hacking website, which is how I got into computer science. I don't do anything with game hacking now, but back then, I wanted to learn how to make that stuff, for personal and public use, but I had no idea how. Anyone who ever asked for a tutorial was always told "go through school", so eventually I realized I was really into coding/software development, so I decided that's what I was going to do with my life.
If you read through all of that, then thanks for listening. I actually didn't expect to get that into detail, but why not? Plus, who is actually going to read through all of that?
