Hey everyone, I am new here, as I am sure you can guess. I'm new to the WoW emu scene, although not new on the private servers scene. Some of you may recognise my name from another forum, although probably not because I never posted in the WoW sections.

I have a question if someone wouldn't mind answering and would save me making another post. Is the source code for this emu available anywhere? I've looked all round the forums and noticed only the closed source version that is compiled for windows.

I don't really know much about C or C++ but I plan on learning and using the code to learn from and hopefully contribute (eventually) to some new changes. I have seen that this emu is based on TrinityCore, which is open source, I was thinking about grabbing that and starting from there but thought i would ask here first.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi there DaMadBoy.

That's a nice introduction there :p

Anyhow, it depends - for general wow emulation there's trinitycore (source) available for use as you said yourself, for emucoach repack the source code is not public for many reasons though.

I hope you will enjoy your stay here, and improve fast!

Thank you, I can be a quick learner when I want to be. So long as I don't get distracted by actually playing games, which admittedly happens quite a bit. I do enjoy learning new things though, it's more of a hobby that goes along with my gaming hobby so seemed kinda natural to get into the private server scene.

My last venture didn't really dive into C that much but I gained a fair amount of knowledge in linux scripts, PHP, Java and working with databases. I've always wanted to create my own game someday but I am a long way away from that dream, one step at a time as they say and have as much fun as possible along the way. ;)
