Hi guys! So I am going to watch a few horror movies the upcoming days with some people, but all the ones I know are movies that are in the progress of coming out. Eg: "Lights out", which should be scary as hell, but also very entertaining.

Anyone who knows some that are horror, but also entertaining? Preferable movies above 2012+

The Insidious movies. They're not just jump scare movies, and they're actually really great, imo. I've rewatched the first one multiple times, the 2nd one once in theaters, but sadly I haven't seen the 3rd yet.
The first one came out in 2011, so it's close enough, and the rest are 2012+

Also another movie I found to be really good is 'The Rite'
It's from 2011 also, and it's got Anthony Hopkins, the guy who plays 'Hannibal' (Also good movie).
I've wanted to re-watch The Rite several times now, but I'm just not in the mood to watch movies all the time like I used to.

If you're looking for a jump scare movie (not really horror) then the obvious: Paranormal Activity. I've rewatched this about 2 or 3 times now, and it's honestly more funny than scary. The 2nd is actually a little better in both scary and entertainment aspects, but not much. The 3rd is just trying to be scary, but it ends up just being creepy.
Devil Inside is another jump scare movie, but personally I didn't find this movie entertaining at all. Went to go see it on a date when I was 15 (we had to buy tickets for a different movie, then sneak in), and it wasn't worth it. The scarriest part about it was when it gets real quiet and either a dog starts barking really loud, or crows start flying out of nowhere. As I said, basically jump scare, and I'm only listing it on the off chance that you're wanting to see it/in to jump scare.

Watch the trailers of the first two movies though, and see what you think. To me, they're really good, but you might have different tastes than me.

I know of a site where a Canadian millionaire buys a lot of movies while there still in theaters and put's them on his site for people to enjoy. One horror movie I suggest is http://www.rainiertamayo.com/movie/the-conjuring-2-2016.html Although I never really cared for horror movies but he has a lot on there you may browse from.

While these sites are quite nice, you do have to be careful. Now, the chances of the viewer getting in trouble are slim, especially compared to the guy who uploads them, but still.

Anyway, how is the quality of the movies? Theater quality, or recorded in the theater quality?

Edit: After looking up the Conjuring, I see that the director is the same one from Saw and the movie I suggested, Insidious. I've thought about watching it a while back when it came out, but I'm not really into much horror movies, simply because they're all just jump scare with a little twisted/creepy/scary background. I prefer a lot of the story/background stuff to be scary, with maybe like 1 or 2 jump scares.

Although the difference between other uploaders they have not bought the rights to upload and stream legally. He simply believes in free movies so he buys the rights to do so.

How does he buy the right to stream them legally? I mean, I'm not saying I don't believe it, but that just sounds really expensive.
He must be making loads from ads in order to do that.

He a retired Canadian millionaire. I do not know exactly but I believe he has contacts in movie industry of what I've heard. He just believes in free movies and loves to share the experience of his passion for movies/shows. All in all hes just a nice guy.

Alot of users have been streaming movies illegally in this topic, that's illegal! I use Netflix to watch horror movies. I watch a lot of zombie films, and a classic I have enjoyed in the past is The Purge.

Zombie ANYTHING! Even the old "sci-fi cheesy type" are good? Watch The Walking Dead series ,<---- even my horror movie hating gal, got hooked on these.. lol, and Fear the walking Dead series isn't too bad either. :)

[Afterthough] Regarding illegal streaming? Much of what is now deemed "illegal" is laws passed for greedy corporations over the last few years. That's like Nintendo crying about ANCIENT cartidge games they no longer even sell being emulated. Most of the stuff people so call "pirate". They owned at some point anyways. Now they try to say you lease the movie/game/etc? (Would love them to come to my house, and say my lease has expired on my Dragon Age II signature edition game?) lol :p Anything over a year, or more passed it's release date? They made their money, and Wal Mart sells 2, or 3 of them crammed on 1 DVD for 5 bucks. For the people able to repetitively watch a movie without snoring?? lol :D And TBH? Things flat out cost far too much due to all the silly laws now put in place. Even games have went to h_ll in quality, and care more about graphics & appeasing children, and continueing to rake in mass profits from something you already bought? I am currently fighting due to a change EA did, and my signature series Dragon Age II will not play. Asking for a verification, that no longer works? And EA "as most companies now"? Expects you to buy it again? I bought it. It had no DRM. It is a disc? They even locked music I bought & ripped to my PC from my disc I bought to listen to on my PC when I tried Windows 10? I OWNED IT? (Hence my refusal to use windows 10) Small wonder people pirate? We are pirating playing a no longer used version of Warcraft? Next it will be buy a copy of each movie per household member. If someone who didn't buy it watches it. They will be fined and/or imprisoned if caught? It's all about money, money, money & oink*oink companies. I feel zero remorse if I get anything free for these very reasons. I bought Fallout 4 GOTY Edition on disc, only to find out I STILL had to download it from Steam. Who says we don't "own our games[we lease them]" Meaning cancel your Steam account? The games will no longer work. I DID NOT even buy it from Steam? lol I play it with a hacked version. Why? Steam SUCKS, and is GREEDY. Like 90% of every company today?... "a personally learned opinion." On that note? GOG still sells it, you own it? And download Kodi for PC, and install your favorite addons for movie, and TV FREE? Get a VPN & let all those corporates wipe away their tears in the rooms full of cash they already have? lol :D ;)
