Dear everyone, I'm sad to tell you guys that we today had a huge database wipe with lots of issues which sadly resulted in a huge rollback, which means we lost a lot of member registrations, posts, our changes.

This means that if you cannot log on your account, it sadly means it has been deleted and you should recreate it to log on it.

This is unacceptable and wont happen again, I'm sorry guys!
I'm hoping we can get the forum back on the track though, and not let it affect the forum!

I hope this didn't change your view on EmuCoach.

How on earth did you manage that? :eek: Wiping an entire database by accident is quite impressive to be honest.

Pro tip: daily or even weekly backups can be a great help. Unless you wipe the backups as well of course :p

I was trying to upgrade and improve a few things but appereantly it resulted in screwing up the database and making the newest backups not work for it, even though I was trying to fix all the errors.
But again, the lesson has been learned and I hope that dit did not change your view of EmuCoach, and I'm trying to make it all good again.

It honestly happens to the best of us, when you least expect it. Good communities don't die from human error, however.

I was a web designer for five years, believe me... big things can happen accidentally, and you get the WORST sinking feeling, lol.
