Hi,

i'm stuck on the logon. I have managed to setup the repack on a laptop and i'm trying to access it from a desktop.
I have configured the realmlist and it does authenticate but immediately it replies with the notice that i should convert it to a battle.net account.

I also did set SET realmlist "192.168.1.99" in the config.wtf of the desktop. (where ip = laptop)

Do i need to do something specific to configure this correctly?

And thanks for the repack ofc.. im verry curious to try it out.

Hi there, Green.

Just before I move on futher,
Are you using 32 or 64 bit system?
Is Authserver & Worldserver up and working?
Also change your realmlist to 127.0.0.1

Also it would be great if you could post a picture of the issue ingame, would explain it just a bit better, looking forward for your reply :)

Hi Pewz,

The server runs on 32-bits system.

The first couple of times when i initially tried to logon it kept hanging on "connecting" but i cant reproduce that scenario for some reason even tho i have set everything back like it was , and restarted everything. and when i changed the realmlist ip in the sql database i run into the error that i should change my current account to a battle.net account via a blizz website.

But for the rest: the sql databse/ auth and world server are up and running.

I did miss the account page in the htdocs of the webserver tho but its not really a problem if the ingame gm command function normally.

Im curious about the wowclient tho: I can just use the current one from blizz or do i need a patched exe or different client to get it to work with this server? (couldn't find anything in the folders indicating that it was needed)

That error is is basicly the message when blizz converted to the battle.net system and you needed to change/update your acount.
not sure if you still need a ss of that?

i should point out that im testing it on a LAN with 2 pc's.

**edit**
i restored the sql database from the archive and only pointed the wow client (pc1) to the server (pc2).
tried to logon with admin admin and i got the battle.net notification like before.

Are you using your WoW.exe rather than the launcher ? It's a common problem but its a thought.

Ah yep that was my thinking error. i tried a mop repack from someone else before and was able to use the current client so i did not think about getting the old client with this repack :).. I'm rather new with this software so i need to get a grip on it how it functions.

Perhaps a tip: i think it would be more convenient if the client download is also included in the repack instead in a different section of the forums.

once i get the client up and running and it connects to my local server ill get back with more info

Hi, yes it did, it's indeed differen from the mop client.
editing EnGB did not work so i also edited EnUS and then i was able to logon (restarted the client in between).
However i am encountering a different issue now.
I do see the realm list but when i try to logon to it, it keeps staying on "connected".
When i look in the server console i get the error message:

WorldSocket::handle_input_header(): client (account: 5, char [GUID: 0, name: <no
ne>]) sent malformed packet (size: 23510, cmd: 404207326)

The only thing i can do on the client is to "cancel" that message and it goes back to the realm list where i can try to connect again. Leaving me in a loop.

I've moved your post to this thread instead of the 4.3.4 client tutorial.

Take a look on http://www.emucoach.com/showthread.php?135-compile-in-64-bit to see if you can find a solution there.

Anyhow, there's some different solutions for this but in short:

First of all try to take ssleay32.dll and libeay32.dll out of your folder and see how it will react (let me know if it gives error, or works or whatever)

If this does not work, download these
http://www.mediafire.com/download/h0...a/ssleay32.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/download/8t...7/libeay32.zip

And delete the old ones and put these in, instead.

If you miss msvcr71.dll download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ub...7z/msvcr71.dll

Let me know how the results :)

Okay i closed all consoles and removed those 2 dll's (by making a new folder named OLD and moved them into there)

sql, auth,- and world server seemed to start normally.

And now im able to logon and create characters :) Thanks for your patience and quick help with this.

Just one small thing... the account creation page does not seem to be included in the apache htdocs.
not that it is a problem for me as i create them in the console but your tutorial in the beginning spoke of it and it is perhaps confusing if the webpage is not there. (or was it a .txt file that spoke of it? meh cant remember tbh)

I'm glad you have solved your issue.
There's no account creation page included in the repack, however there's different free ones (AzerCMS) for example etc, if you wish.

I don't think I have spoken about a webpage, if I have could you point me to where I did so I can edit it?
Thanks.

The root of the sql archive contains a document called: README regarding the Server.txt

2nd alinea:

The default account registration page is in the htdocs folder.
You can delete that and put your own site there if desired.
If you'd wish to use my registration page for your repack,
Please leave credit in the footer as a token of your appreciation.

Perhaps it's not your txt file but i was not able to see that.

Oh yeah, the README is there by default, I didn't do anything.

Thanks for letting me know, I will fix it up in next version.

Sure np,

basicly what i did is removed the complete apache server beacuse i dont need it. So i only have the mysql folder and the .bat file and removed every other folder in there.

Cheers.

Hi, Im having a similar problem to this with mine also, however when I try the fixes that have been discussed already I have no success.

So initially, without making any changes to files, I've downloaded, Unzipped etc all the repack files, I run my 4.3.4 client, and am able to login but then just get the "Connected" screen, I can leave this and after about 40 seconds it will disconnect and I see the error described in an earlier post about in the Server Console, so to this part my issue is identical.

However, I have tried the fix of removing the ssleay32.dll and libeay32.dll from the release folder, but when I start Authserver, I get the errors regarding both those DLL files missing, so I tried replacing them with the ones that you have link but with those ones I receive a different error.

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application

Unfortunately I'm unable to get any further than this, I am trying to run it on Windows 8.1 64 bit PC.

Hi guys.

If you have tried doing what worked for the thread creator and it still doesn't work, I would like you to make a new thread in the support, with your issue instead.

Once you've done so, I'll help you out there, I'm doing so, to make it more clean and not such a mess, hope you understand.
