[What it does] There´s no way to free the two gnomes, they stand behind that orc named Thundrak. Killing Thundrak doesn´t make a thing.
[What it should do] On retail servers there is a vehicle with Thundrak and the two gnomes inside driving in the area of Silverwind Refuge. You attack Thundrak then he jumps out the vehicle and after you killed him the quest is complete.
I wouldn´t expect that it works Blizzlike. You kill him (then maybe right-click on the gnomes) and you finished the quest. That would be enough for me.
